Introducing… The Beatles (mono, v1, oval logo, centered titles)

~ Veröffentlichung von The Beatles (alle Versionen dieser Veröffentlichung ansehen, 27 vorhanden)

Anmerkung

This original Vee Jay pressing did not include Please Please Me and Ask Me Why. However, as Capitol Records, through its subsidiary Beechwood Music, controlled the publishing rights to Love Me Do and P.S. I Love You, Capitol threatened legal action against Vee Jay if it did not cease distributing the album. Vee Jay responded by replacing the two tracks in question with Ask Me Why and Please Please Me on subsequent pressings.
This pressing has oval Vee Jay logo, centered song titles and songwriters’ credits with “INTRODUCING THE BEATLES” in medium print and “Long Playing” and “Microgroove” on the label. The trail off areas have the hand etched matrix number 63-3402 on Side I and 63-3403 on Side II. Both sides have the hand etched initials “RA” and “A” as well as the machine stamped Audio Matrix and “ARP” logos. This variation was pressed by The American Record Pressing Co (ARP).
