Stranger In Town (Remastered) concludes the essential Bob Seger trilogy. The overplayed "Old Time Rock & Roll" hasn't dated well, but that takes absolutely nothing away from the rest of the album. "Hollywood Nights" and "Feel Like A Number" rock the hardest, whereas "Brave Strangers" and, especially, "The Famous Final Scene", express for me why I placed looking good for pretty actresses as a higher priority than food-related reunions at my old school. The fact that Seger, like most rock artists of his era, advocates community service being required in schools, as well as increased funding for law enforcement, makes Stranger In Town (Remastered), Night Moves (Remastered), and Live Bullet (Remastered) essential purchases for both your ears and your conscience.
